As you work hard towards completing your studies, don’t forget to hone in on the skills that will help launch your career. The Office of Student Affairs at Fei Tian College-Middletown wants to see you succeed beyond your time here. To help prepare you for the essential skills needed to stand out for future employers, we have invited successful young professionals to share their experiences and tips with you.

- Enhance your technical writing skills through the development of effective cover letters, report writing, and email communications.
- Clearly articulate job titles and career fields you are pursuing throughout your studies and after graduation.
- Learn skills needed to attend behavioral and structural interviewing.
- Develop skills in using social media and technology to develop professional networks and quality application materials.

Facilitators
Pingyi holds an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communication from Northwestern and graduated with honors in database marketing.


Prior to her career in fintech, Kelly was an ambassador of traditional Chinese culture, gracing the world’s most prestigious venues from the Lincoln Center in NYC, to the Palais de Congrès in Paris. During her tenure, she performed over a thousand live performances as the Master of Ceremonies for Shen Yun Performing Arts, and has been featured on exclusive interviews with ABC, NBC, and CNN.
In her spare time, Kelly teaches microeconomics, statistics, and economic development at Pace University. Her teaching and research explores a wide range of topics, including housing bubbles, human rights, and US-China relations.

Guest Speakers
Prior to that, Mr. Yu began his career at EY LLP in transaction advisory services, specializing in buy-side M&A consulting for financial institution and private equity sponsors. Mr. Yu graduated with a BS in finance and accounting at NYU’s Stern School of Business and is a CPA (non-practicing) in the State of New York. Mr. Yu is also a Board Member and Treasurer of The Society of Classical Poets. In his free time, Mr. Yu enjoys reading about history, making private co-investments in real estate and tech startups, and golf.

- SWOT analysis
- Look at the landscape of jobs you are interested in
- What skills are you lacking to achieve your dream job
- Map out experiences that would allow you to gain those skills/expertise
Guest Speakers
Yan holds an MBA with majors in finance and health care management from the Wharton School and an MD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
During business school, Yan completed an internship with McKinsey & Company. During medical school, Yan conducted a year of full-time clinical research in interventional radiology and published his findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Yan also worked with RadDx, a Philadelphia-based healthcare IT startup developing artificial intelligence for interpreting diagnostic medical imaging.
Yan also holds a BS in biochemistry from UNC Chapel Hill. In college, Yan completed internships with GSK and the NIH.
