2021 Introduction to Data Science Virtual Camp

For High School & College Students

A Taste of Data Science

“Data Science”, the process of extracting, analyzing, presenting and utilizing information from data, has been flourishing in the 2010s. Into the 2020s, the application of data science is becoming the new industrial norm across nearly all industries such as business & finance, medicine, science, engineering, professional services, education and public administration.

With the approach of the data science “Golden Age”, an understanding of the subject, even at the beginner level, would provide you with an edge in the job market. Our camp will serve as an ideal starting point for your journey in data science by helping to give you the answers to the following questions:

  • What is data science all about? Why is it useful?
  • Why has data science become so popular? What does the future hold for data science?
  • Should I study data science? Shall I do a major, minor or just some basic training? What are the advantages of each?
